BIO: The Oakdale District Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer organization of the business community founded in 1917. The Chamber is not a civic club, charitable organization or department of city government. The Chamber is a private, non-profit tax paying corporation. It unites hundreds of business and professional firms thus creating a unique central agency, working to improve business and build a better community. Individuals, clubs or services organizations are also invited to join the Chamber.

Most importantly, the Chamber is people…people just like you. They realize that through the Chamber, as members and volunteers, they can accomplish collectively what not one of them can do individually. The strength of the Oakdale Chamber lies in attracting a large number of members creating a pool of resources from which to draw ideas, energy and finances.

The mission of the Oakdale District Chamber of Commerce is to unite the business community by enhancing business, tourism and economic growth, while retaining the high quality of life in Oakdale.

The Oakdale District Chamber of Commerce is governed by a 17-member Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. The Chamber employs three staff members which include Chief Executive Officer, Executive Office Administrator/Events Coordinator and an Administrative Secretary/Tourism Coordinator. The Chamber is located at 590 North Yosemite Avenue. Business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.

The Oakdale District Chamber of Commerce promotes an environment to maximize business potential and profitability. In many ways, the Chamber is the pulse of the community’s heartbeat and will respond to issues as they present themselves. We are the “doorway” to the City of Oakdale that is always open. The Chamber of Commerce extends a hearty welcome to new residents and hopes that this publication will assist you in learning about our city.
