"I used to dance," you say. That's great--your feet will remember. Come on back.
"I have two left feet," you think. No problem. Once those feet know where to go--Shezam! You'll be dancing.
Maybe visions of "Dancing With The Stars" shoot through your head. Those people are amazing, but you don't need to dance like a star to have a great time dancing.
"I don't dance; I ______." Why not enjoy both? Your brain can handle any amount of information; no one's filled his/her "hard drive" yet.
All around the world entire villages--people of all ages and abilities--dance together, enjoying their culture's traditional dances. These are folk dances, the peoples' dances, dances meant for ordinary every day folks.
Try international folk dancing. Come down to the Carnegie Arts Center any Friday night and see for yourself how much fun it is to move to the music as you hobnob with the "neighbors."
