You've got to be kidding me. Nice to know there's still a Republican stronghold in the great Central Valley. How about turning off Rush Limbaugh or Fox News for a while and actually READING the 1018 pages? (You didn't read the whole thing, did you? You're only pointing out what your pal Glenn Beck talked about on his show, right?) You're ok with the military having government run healthcare, and medicaid being run by the government, but HEAVEN FORBID we turn the health care over to a system more concerned with people's health than their own profit. The US is the only "first world" country to have a health care system based on profit, but as long as it doesn't intrude into your warped sense of patriotism you're ok with it.
I intended this post for the blog entry with the indecipherable headline "1018 Pages That Will Destroy America's Superior He". Whatever that means. Don't know how it posted to this entry.
It is not Uncle Sam's job to care for you sweety. Take care of your self....and most repubs are too liberal for me...that is why I am an independant..... and why you are trying to think, name one government program that runs in the black....
Can't help yourself in spreading hate. The way you spun this story assures me in knowing your a bigot.
Ignore the bigot's blog.
Hi Wayno- See you took time out of your busy day of creating lies about the sheriff to spread lies here. Go get some coffee with George and Tex and relax dude!
It stated it was for Latino parents. I say it should be for all parents. The wording should be changed becuase it implies Latino only. scotty, why mention hate, when I was saying "all" parents should be targeted. So take a look in the mirror, it might be you who is in need of a doctor, or a happy pill brother!
The original blogger apparently feels he's being treated unfairly. Thus his angry blog postings. He obviously has his own personal issues. However, calling it racism is both baiting and over simplifying. It's no wonder the flame war has begun here.
Going back to the original subject, think of it this way:
If you are having a problem with your right arm and need surgery, you don't also perform surgery on your left arm and legs just to be fair.
The problem existed in the Latino community probably due to language and socio-economic issues therefore the Dean at THS attempted to "perform surgery" on this arm and not the whole student body.
Don't be so upset JohnDavidHeaton3, nobody is "losing" anything here. Just be thankful the rest of the student body doesn't need special meetings.
Now as for the hate and the anger in this thread, you can blame that on jwshannon, HeyMoron, and wayne2008 for attempting to hijack the thread and turn it into the Huffington Post. Personally attacking the blogger for his opinion is certainly not open minded or polite.
The other two (SarahJ and ScottCoberly) just appear to be clowning on you all.
How about some civility around here?
Why is my opinion angry? I am simply making the point that all students who are having attendance issues should be targeted for help. I work for a school district and poor attendance is a behavioral/parenting issue. Not a race issue. Nothing angry about that.
Or maybe you don't see the larger picture? Either way, the hate is flowing from your direction. As for everyone else? Sorry, many folks I know and work with agree, so I guess your "everyones" are your own creation.
Mr Heaton, enough already.
It's clear when the last person said "everybody" he was referring to every other commentor on this blog and the fact that this blog entry has a 17% approval rating.
Use some common sense.
The "bigger picture" as you call it might only exist in your own mind.
Scott, HeyMoron also blogs at The Hive; the Mod Bee's site under several screen names. You will find him under BikeRackII. I do agree with you about posting under a real name vs. screen name.
I love to read interesting post that has knowledge to impart! Thank you for sharing your insights! I will avidly wait for your next blog entry.
Best regards,
