TOLL BOOTH'S

Our State has fallen into this economic crisis after many years of the lenders and realitors abusing the system to make money..I say they are partly to blame the rest of the blame goes to our Federal Government watchdogs, who are more like lapdogs for the rich Bankers and Financiers.

So without any more of the blame game I offer a solution, that many may agree or not here it is.

Toll booth's on Hwy 99,hwy 132,and many more highways. Its not as bad as you might think, the lines move pretty fast, and trucks have a different lane altogether, and many can purchase a paypass; which is a sticker on your windshield which is detected and you drive straight through without having to toss coins into the basket. The proceeds will be split between the State and County.

This might help our local and State Governments pay for road repairs and create jobs.

Just a thought, what do you think of having toll booths?
And what Idea would you share with us on creating income and jobs for our State and County?

Scott Coberly, maybe I should have explained it in more detail. The locals who live in the cities will recieve a reciept which when they turn off the freeway can cash in that ticket for their money back, this is only for those passing through.

Trucks would pay around four dollars. This is a lot of revenue in a short period of time. As for backroads they would have to drive several miles out of the way. but if they live in the cities they would still be getting to their destination. what would it matter.

200,000 cars and trucks per day thats over $200,000 per day at the least. If only 50,000 trucks passed per day thats $200,000 plus $175,000 or more from cars = $375,000 per day. times 364= $136,500,000 per year.

Wheres the problem at ? over 75 million will pour into the local city budgets. to do with as they wish.

I agree, asinine. So over simplified and full of holes, this has to be a joke.

sarahj I am looking forward to the critics when they write a blog so I can critize them. There is nothing lame or asinine about this idea.

If you dont think it will work then tell us your idea's............just what I thought more silence from the critics with no creativity themselves.

It would not matter what I write they slam my blogs anyway.

Agreed. Both lame and asinine. I think ScottCoberly already gave you a good idea Wayne. Send the state as much money as you want, leave the rest of us out of it and tell your representative to stop spending more than they bring in. Until tthat is accomplished, silly ideas like this are really nothing more than sticking a finger in the dyke.

Score is almost at single digits now. That's a nice rebuke.

Why do people keep acknowledging this blog as if it were a serious idea?

sarahj...the sock-puppet queen has a very similar writing as yours.

First, half of the money goes to the state or even less, the state maintains that stretch of hwy.99 The cities get the other half or more to spend as they will, some of the money must de directed to road repair.

Those taxes that your whining about it has nothing to do with this plan.

The taxes for gasoline that you pay is due to an inept state legistlature, and their greedy habits to fund pork, special interests and lobbyist.

Maybe all of this is over your head I apologize im not in the habit of discussing adult issues with bratty chldren. Have a very happy joyous day.

Wayne2008 solution = Give them more money. The blog rating speaks for itself.
