Why don't we have our roads fixed???? I have been to other little towns around Turlock and they take care of their roads and streets,WHY NOT Turlock??

City only puts statues up whithout asking if we want it? They spend money on things we don't need, please fix our streets. East Ave. is full of cracks and potholes, west main is full of cracks and potholes. I live on South Rose and we also have cracks and potholes.

Shame on you mayor for not fixing our community streets. Get with it.

All the cash shortages, have effected the city's budget.

Thats what makes the toll booth idea so much better.

Mamajeanone, I really do believe they see the roads as their last concern when it comes to the budget.

Thanks for speaking up.

mamajeanone, run for city council!

Other than this blog, what has anyone done about this issue?

I would suggest calling the City public works dept. They started cutting down trees on Canal and there have been updates in the Journal about a road project on Canal. These are very good issues and you should go to the City Council meeting and tell them.

Start by showing up at a city council meeting and demanding that Ted Howse stop fixating on a Pittman High football stadium and Mary Jackson drop the obsession with the Carnegie Arts center. Tell them to fix the infrastructure of the city!

I will definately get in touch with the city council, but I need others to write in on this also. If we stick togeather we can do it.Right?

MichaelPacer commented on Tuesday, Oct 20, 2009 at 00:35 AM

Right.

Also contact Ted Howze and tell him you don't want public money wasted on hair brain schemes like football stadiums that only benefits a small group of overbearing psycho dads.

Phone: (209)656-7461
Email: tedhowze@charter.net

And don't vote for any of his cronies for school board this November. He's trying to replace the incumbents with his buddies and sock puppets.
