Description: This year Walnut Elementary Education Center, in collaboration with Turlock Irrigation District and the City of Turlock, will host the school’s first-ever Energy Faire on Saturday, October 2nd. The event will serve to help raise awareness of energy conservation and demonstrate the collective power of simple, energy-saving actions. With a variety of exhibit booths, demonstrations, kids’ activities, food and concessions, workshops and a panel presentation will provide a unique opportunity for students, residents and businesses within the community. Attendees can elect to participate in free educational workshops and/or fun activities that offer professional advice and cost-cutting strategies to help implement energy efficiency solutions at home, work and play.
